Why doesn't Podlink support my favorite podcast platform?
We aim to support as many major podcast platforms as possible, but the decentralized nature of podcasting makes it challenging to offer universal compatibility.
Each podcast platform handles links differently. Some provide public APIs or predictable URL structures, while others offer little or no way to reliably construct links to shows or episodes.
Why Some Platforms Are Easier to Support
Section titled “Why Some Platforms Are Easier to Support”Podlink can usually generate working links when a platform supports:
- Show-level identifiers like Apple Podcasts IDs, RSS feed URLs, or Podcast Index IDs
- Episode-level identifiers like enclosure URLs or episode GUIDs
When those aren’t available—or the platform requires a private, unique ID accessible only through an API—we may not be able to support it yet.
Want to Suggest a Platform?
Section titled “Want to Suggest a Platform?”If there’s a podcast app you’d like to see added to Podlink, we’d love to hear from you. Please email us at [email protected] with the following:
- The name of the app and a link to its website
- Example URLs for shows and episodes
- Any info about how their links are structured (especially if they support RSS-based linking)
We review every suggestion and prioritize platforms that are technically feasible and widely used.
